 I am just so happy to be busy painting... tickled actually... I am not finished this painting but thought I would share it with you! I am loving all the fur and her bold eyes..... I keep playing with the back ground actually ...

Commision Drawing for Business Card

I was asked by Karmen Veranda Vintage Hats to come up with a Vintage Pin Up Inspired Cartoon from the neck up for her business cards featuring her lovely hats..... She had seen some of my vintage pin up inspired art. Jean gave me her ideas of a lady that looks similar to her, with an outrageous hat that does not take away from the girl. I have modeled some of these hats and facinators for Jean and her daughter Katie whom is a wonderful Photographer. They are stunning. facinators as well...

New Studio!!!

I am just moving into my new studio!!! I am so excited... I get a room in my house all to myself to put all my art in! Then I can create and make a mess and go back to it when ever I want!!! Also this will make my living room and bedroom more livable space!!!! I will post photos when I get some things rearranged!

Subjects

I like to paint subjects that evoke emotions. I also find I have always been fascinated by eyes. Human, animals and bug eyes! I find large eyes to be captivating.

2011

2011 has started off on a bang! I was voted Chair Person of our Art Guild.

I am very honoured and humbled!

My man sang "Happy Birthday Mrs. President" when I told him...ha...ha....

So I have been calling him "First Husband".... lol

I am in the process of planning new works for this year...

Also trying to come up with a game plan.....

I have some great ideas... some themes too this time is starting to come out of my work...

There are some favorites that I just need there stories to continue...

Have you noticed a few surprises in some of the art work? I had to point one out to a fellow

art blogger the other day as she has seen my work in person and still did not pick up on it....

Themes have started in my art that I may draw on..... lol

A fellow art blogger friend whom has seen some of my paintings in person,

I had to point out one of the themes in some of my big eye girl paintings...

There is a surprise in some of the paintings....

I am also going to try to keep posting using my blog as a type of art journal.... So encourage me to get the ball rolling and get working on my art!!! I have not picked up a brush yet and January is almost over!!!

I know I have some great plans for my art this year.
